Easter might be all about chocolate eggs and festive hunts for us – but for our pets, it’s an opportunity for something just as special. These Easter Bunny Bites are a fun, simple way to show your dog a little extra love while supporting their health from the inside out.
Made with natural wholefood ingredients and boosted with Collagenie’s Certified Organic Collagen, they’re the kind of treat that does more than just taste good. Every bite helps support your dog’s joints, digestion and coat – without the fillers or artificial nasties often found in store-bought treats.
Why Homemade?
Most commercial treats are made for shelf life, not wellness. By choosing to make your own at home, you’re ensuring your dog gets:
- Wholesome, recognisable ingredients
- A natural boost of collagen for joint, gut and coat health
- No artificial preservatives or fillers
- Easy to make with everyday ingredients
Why Add Collagen?
As dogs age, their natural collagen production declines – impacting joint flexibility, skin health and digestive balance. Collagenie’s pure hydrolysed Collagen Meal Boosters are designed to support:
- Joint mobility and comfort
- Skin hydration and a shiny coat
- A healthy, resilient gut lining
Sourced from Australia and made to human-grade standards, it’s a simple way to enhance your dog’s everyday nutrition – whether mixed into meals or incorporated into special occasion treats like this one.

- 1 medium ripe banana (mashed)
- 1/2 cup natural peanut butter (no xylitol)
- 1 cup oat flour
- 2 tablespoons Collagenie Collagen Meal Booster
- 1/4 cup grated carrot (optional for festive flair)
- A splash of water (if needed, to adjust dough consistency)
💡 You can make your own oat flour by blending rolled oats in a food processor until fine.
Method:
- Preheat your oven to 160°C (325°F) and line a baking tray with baking paper.
- In a mixing bowl, mash the banana and stir in the peanut butter until smooth.
- Add oat flour and Collagenie Collagen Meal Booster powder to the wet ingredients. Mix until a dough forms.
- Fold in grated carrots for an extra festive (and vitamin-rich) twist.
- If the dough feels dry, add a splash of water to help it come together.
- Roll out the dough to about 1cm thick and use bunny or egg-shaped cookie cutters to cut out treats.
- Place on baking tray and bake for 12–15 minutes, or until the edges are golden.
- Let cool completely before serving
